Dr. Whitehead was appointed CEO and Executive Director of the Youngstown Metropolitan Housing Authority (YMHA) in March, 2016. In this role he oversees the housing authority in Mahoning County for over 1,200 public and assisted housing units and management of 2,000 housing choice vouchers with total annual revenues of approximately 20 million dollars. Prior to this position he served as Chief of Staff for Mayor Jay Williams, Comptroller for the City of Youngstown Community Development Agency. Prior to his engagement in the public sector Dr. Whitehead led the Youngstown Central Area Community Improvement Corporation (YCACIC) where he led the development of economic and community development in the central business district. 

Dr. Whitehead has spent his career in ministry serving men and women and empowering them to fulfill their destiny by breaking free from poverty. It is imperative that men and women are empowered with education and skills to break free from the system that seeks to keep them disempowered and ignorant. 

Dr. Whitehead has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Studies and a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Business Ethics from Duquesne University, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Strayer University and a Doctor of Ministry from George Fox University.
